A Note from Tina

I come to this work from lived experience, not theory alone.

I am in long term recovery from substance abuse. That truth sits at the root of everything I now teach, because healing was never abstract for me. It happened in my body, one return at a time.

Maybe you have never touched a substance in your life. And maybe you still know exactly what it feels like to disconnect from yourself. To people please until you have lost track of what you actually want. To chase perfect until rest feels unsafe. To overachieve your way past a feeling you never had time to feel.

If that is you, I want you to hear this clearly. Those patterns are intelligent strategies, formed early, in service of keeping you safe. Your body found a way through. It is still trying to protect you, even now.

This is where Pause, Breathe, Honor begins, my signature method, built from everything I have lived and learned.

I am a certified trauma trained somatic practitioner and a 200 hour registered yoga teacher. Before this work, I served as a substance abuse counselor. I am also a businesswoman, My husband and I own and run several businesses together. Every part of that life lives inside this method.

What is True for You

That question sits at the center of everything I teach. You will meet it again and again in this work.

This question welcomes whatever you bring to it. Your answer is allowed to be simple. Your answer is allowed to be complicated. Your answer is allowed to change by the hour.

What is true for you is allowed to be here.

There is no wrong answer. There is only what is actually present.

The Method

Pause Breathe Honor is a doorway you can walk through again and again, in three unhurried steps.

Pause is the willingness to stop and notice what is already here.

Breathe is the return to the body through conscious breath.

Honor is the meeting of what is true with compassion, the heart of the practice, felt before it is understood.

This method was built intentionally to be simple. Healing is real without complexity. It asks for three breaths and a willingness to notice, available to anyone, regardless of background, training, or vocabulary.
